Odell Brewing

The 5 of us went to Odell Brewing’s rooftop patio overlooking Sloan’s Lake. The bar features 12 experimental beers as well as the 4 brewed year around. Odell Brewing started in Ft. Collins 30 years ago. The patio was packed on a Friday evening but a table finally opened. We tried the experimental beers that are limited to Sloan’s Lake.

We had the following beers: Purple Mane, Kenza Lager, Perry Street Pils, Queen of Tang, and Mexican Lager. The Purple Mane is brewed with plums and dandelions. A pleasant style Saison. The Kenza uses perennial grass. Perry Street is a pilsner to enjoy for the summer. The Queen of Tang is a tangerine hibiscus wheat ale while the Mexican Lager is paired with lime. We enjoyed the beers.

After sitting down we ordered a Margarita pizza which was simple but had a very good taste. A slice of pizza and a cold beer on a rooftop patio is a great way to enjoy summer.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Odell Brewing Sloan’s Lake is Very Good.
