Mile High Dining went across town to eat Texas-style barbecue at Post Oak Barbecue. It’s a cafeteria-style restaurant, focused on Texas-style barbecue and they even use oak trees from Texas in the grills! The meals use all natural certified Angus beef, and both the pork and poultry are natural. I visited four years ago, and all the food was presented sitting on a sheet of paper. Today, thankfully they provide paper plates and paper boats to hold your sandwich and extras.
I had the pulled pork sandwich, Texas style , and the co-diner had the 3 barbecued tacos. We shared the delicious fried okra. The pulled pork sandwich is served with crispy fried onions and I added pickles and pickled red onions. The sandwich was very good.
The co-dinner enjoyed the 3 tacos of pork and barbecued turkey. Each taco is topped with coleslaw and house-made salsa. The tacos were also rated very good.
The ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Post Oak Barbecue is Very Good. We visited on a Tuesday and the place was packed with customers.
