Mile High Dining went to a neighborhood Italian restaurant, Locanda del Borgo. It’s located in East Denver in a residential area. The restaurant has a very extensive menu from appetizers to main entrees. On our Sunday visit the place was very quiet and had very few customers.
Each person had a side salad and an entree. I added a glass of Chianti. My baby green salad was just okay as the tomato wedges were not ripe. The entree was the nightly special, Fettuccine Amatriciana. It had lots of small shrimp and it was spicy. The tomato sauce dominated resulting in the pasta taste getting lost. Therefore it was just okay.
The others had salmon and a second Fettuccine entree. They shared a Ceasar salad. The grilled salmon with roasted potatoes and spinach was the hit of the evening. It was described as very good.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Locanda del Borgo is Good.
