Mile High Dining went to the Denver Greek Festival. The dancing and the music were the hit of the afternoon. The food was good while the Cathedral ceiling of the church was beautiful! One enters the Festival and must walk through the merchants selling products from olive oil to paintings. Once you arrive at the lower level the music and dancing by the various performers was the focus. Food and drinks are from one of the counter stalls and you eat picnic-style.
We enjoyed Saganaki, Baklava, and Dolmathes. Of course, I enjoyed a Greek beer, FIT, and a shot of ouzo. The Baklava was the best dish as the honey and pastry provide a great summer treat. The Saganaki is cheese which is fried and was delicious. Lastly, the Dolmathes are grapes leaves surrounding meat and rice and served warm. Rather too plain tasting.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Greek Festival is Good. The music and dancing were the highlights rather than the food.
