Mile High Dining went out on a rainy evening for Indian food at Tocabe. It’s American Indian food. It’s the only American Indian food restaurant in the Denver area. They focus on recipes from partnerships with the Indian community and many of their ingredients come from Indian producers. It’s a causal counter style restaurant.
Mile High Dining enjoyed the Tocabe favorite, Bison Ribs. The ribs are cured for 24 hours, then braised and grilled. The large ribs are served with 2 fry bread biscuits. The ribs are good tasting especially when the berry barbecue sauce is added. The fry bread was delicious! I added a side salad with lots of different kinds of lettuces and corn.
I enjoyed a West Fax pale ale beer. West Fax Brewery is located right next door to Casa Bonita. I was hoping to receive an invite to the opening night of the remodeled Casa Bonita but I had no luck.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Tocabe is Good.
