Mile High Dining enjoyed a whiskey and oyster tasting at Stranahan’s Distillery. The event was hosted by Stranahan’s, Maine to Mountain and Oyster Wulff. What a fun evening enjoying Maine oysters and sipping different types of whiskey.
It was my first visit to Stranahan’s and I was not impressed by the outside but the indoors was well decorated and comforting. We started by filling our plates with appetizers such as cheese, meats, and fruit. The event started with the three hosts explaining their products.
We had 3 different oysters and they were delicious. Each had a taste of the salty sea and the soft texture of oysters.
The 4 whiskey samples covered the original type of whiskey to the current Sherry whiskey. All were strong but since they were just tastes we enjoyed them.
My ratings are: It’s Ok, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for whiskey and oysters at Stranahan’s is Very Good. That was a different and fun evening. Also, we receives a gift bag that included cocktail glasses and whiskey sampling glasses, and even a shucking oyster knife!
