Bao Brewhouse

Bao is housed in the former Euclid Hall and serves Chinese snacks and beer downstairs. The upper level features sit down tables and larger plates. Mile High Dining sat in the Tap room downstairs and enjoyed a causal Chinese plate and a drink. The Nuggets were playing that evening and finding parking was a struggle. The Tap room is first come first served while upstairs is reservation only.

I ordered the classic Chinese beer, Tsingtao and the Char Sui Bao buns. You order and pay via your phone. The buns made a beautiful presentation. While the beer is a light style, the sauce with the buns is very spicy. The barbecue pork buns were good and I was glad I had a beer to ease the spicy flavor.

The other diner had the Sichuan prawn skewer with a bowl of rice. The shrimp were grilled and tasted very good. It was paired with a raspberry hard cider.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Bao Brewhouse is Good. We received friendly service and want to return and try the beautiful upstairs. Only in Denver, you get Chinese food and local craft beers.
