Major Tom

Mile High Dining went to a new restaurant, Major Tom. It’s connected to its fancy partner. Beckon. Upon entry, we were greeted by the founder and chef, Duncan Holmes. Later in the evening, he went next door to work. It’s a small restaurant but with very good food options.

I arrived early for Happy Hour and was given a splash of champagne to start the evening. We selected two very good options, French fries, and oysters. The fries were extra crispy and had a side of aioli and only $5.00! The three oysters went down with a sparkling wine.

The entree selected is named the Shooting Star. It has a large piece of halibut, several prawns, and black caviar all sitting on a slice of sourdough bread. One of the prettier presentations seen in Denver. The fish, prawns, and caviar were very good tasting.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Major Tom is Very Good. Plan to arrive early and enjoy the food and wine specials.
