Mile High Dining went to one of the newest bars in Denver for Restaurant Week. It was Cretans which serves small plate dishes. The bar is operated by the Quality Italian group. It’s a definite improvement over it’s predecessor, a market.
The two of us started with a glass of Greek wine and ordered the 3 course Restaurant Week selection. We each had the gem lettuce salad. Each little leaf of lettuce was covered with cheese and spice. Delicious!
One had the fried chicken and I had the burrata cheese and figs dish. Forget the chicken and enjoy the cheese. It will be a great summer dish. The toffee cake that came for dessert was rated as excellent. I planned to skip dessert but the server gave me a free glass of wine instead. Not bad!
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Cretans is Good.
