Buenos Tiempos

Mile High Dining went north for Mexican food at Buenos Tiempos. It’s a causal family-style restaurant that opened in 1986. The dining area is very plain but it sits next to a lively bar with pool tables. They even have a pool league. The menu features classic Mexican dishes

The two of us started with the complimentary chips and salsa. One had the bean burrito smothered in red and green chile with a side of rice and black beans. He also ordered a bowl of chile. Both were given very good grades.

I had the Poblano pepper that was breaded and deep fried and filled with cheese. It was good but the sides of rice and black beans are just okay. I opted for a cup of hot green chile which I took home as it was a little hot for me.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Buenos Tiempos is Good. I suggest you sit in the lively bar area. The prices for the dishes are very reasonable!
