Odyssey Restaurant

We dined at one of the traditional red sauce Italian restaurants, the Odyssey. It’s housed in an old house and we were ushered up to the third floor which felt like the attic. Odyssey is owned/operated by a father-and-son team. The name Odyssey was selected to designate an ending to the father’s cooking at many different places. On Saturday night the place was packed!

We each selected an Italian wine to start. The menu is very extensive with dishes from pasta, ravioli, and Sicilian specialties. One selected the fettuccine alfredo with the added grilled chicken and I had the gnocchi. We were warned the dishes were very large.

The fettuccine was good itself but the grilled chicken was undercooked. The gnocchi was mixed with lots of basil but it also was disappointing. The gnocchi was not light and fluffy but thick and chewy.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Odyssey Restaurant was It’s OK. It did have a good side of rolls and the red rose on the table was very pretty but the main dishes were very disappointing!
