The Rouge Wine Bar is brand new as it just opened on October 11, 2022. It’s part of a large activity and restaurant complex known as Pindustry. Parking is a mess! The Wine Bar is very large and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was a lovely fall day, outside we went.
After seated we viewed the extensive food options including many entrees. Too many for a wine bar. We had two glasses of wine to enjoy the sunset. The wine director even came to our table to greet us. Sadly no one gave us any information about the wine or our wine choices.
We shared the delicious cheese board that had 3 different kinds of cheese, honey, jam, olives, nuts, crackers, and bread. The food covered the platter. It was the food hit of the evening. The two small plates selected were the crab cake and mussels.
The crab cake was disappointing as it lacked flavor. The green curry mussels had not only a great presentation but also a good flavor. Although they were small in size we enjoyed the mussels.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for The Rouge Wine Bar is Good. It’s more like a restaurant rather than a wine bar. We were disappointed that we received no educational information about any wines.
