Tavernetta

One of Mile High Dining’s favorite restaurants, Tavernetta, continues to be in my best 5 restaurants in Denver. Currently, 5280 Magazine states it is one of their best 25. Sit in the causal lounge area and enjoy a little walk through the open kitchen to check it out.

We enjoyed a glass of wine and a fancy spritzer for only $8 dollars each. The drinks matched the beautiful plate of 2 arancinos. The rice balls had a slight spicy flavor but they were delicious.

The classic pasta dish was Cacio e Pepe which is pasta presented in a light cheese and pepper coating. One of us stated you could eat this style pasta every day!

The other dish was the fried Calamari. It included thinly sliced lemons that were also fried. A sauce is added and a fresh lemon for added flavors. A very good dish. To end the evening, a small grappa was sipped.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Tavernetta restaurant continues to be in the top 5. The lounge area does not take reservations so plan ahead.
