Mile High Dining went South to try an Oxtail pot from the Reggae Pot Jamaican Grill. We have never eaten oxtail so it is another experience. Reggae Pot sits in a strip mall and features Jamaican food. You order at a counter and your food is served table side. On a Friday evening, I was the only customer so we hope they make it.
The Oxtail is presented in a steaming bowl with added sides of cabbage and fried plantains. The meat is slow-cooked with potatoes, carrots, and spices. One starts with a fork but end up using your fingers to hold the bone and enjoy the meat. Not a bad dish but you may need lots of napkins.
The two side dishes of steamed cabbage and fried plantains were good, especially the cabbage. With the added spices, the cabbage hit the spot.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Reggae Pot Jamaican Grill is Good.
