Mister Oso – Wash Park

Mister Oso is one of Denver’s newest restaurant and it is housed in a former sports bar. A little sister restaurant, Mister Oso-RiNo, started this family.

It was a lovely warm evening to enjoy a margarita and Mexican food. We started with the spicy margarita that woke you up as a Chile pepper is substituted for the lime as well as other spices. The Happy Hour mini guacamole with lots of chips was a good start. The chips were extra crunchy and the guacamole has pumpkin and pistachio seeds.

The Tepache cebiche is raw fish of the day with herbs and a pina sauce. It’s presented with two extra large chips and a spoon to place the cebiche on the chips to enjoy. A great warm weather dish that was good.

The Pollo Frito tacos had buttermilk fried chicken and pickled green tomatoes. The tacos were extra good! The green tomatoes added an extra kick of a sour taste. The plate produced three tacos, so there was enough to share.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Mister Oso – Wash Park is Very Good. The main plates and the service were the highlights! Stop by and enjoy.
