Cherry Creek Al Fresco

On the busiest night of the 4 day event in Cherry Creek North to benefit the charity Food for Thought, we enjoyed the restaurant, wine, and distillery options on the closed Fillmore St. Lots of food tastings from over 15 restaurants and individual chefs providing small food samplings combined with over 20 wine and distillery options. Al Fresco had many different events such as demonstrations, seminars and an expensive sit down dinner.

We walked around the street to try several restaurant food items and the best choice was the freshly shucked oysters. We had sushi, Jamaican veggies, yellow tomato gazpacho and many other small bites. It was too busy to try to hold a glass of wine and a small plate of food as there were no tables or seats to sit down. The wine and distillery tastes were the hit of the evening as it was so easy to hold a glass of wine while walking. We tasted several whiskeys and vodkas all by Colorado establishments.

Overall, we liked the evening outside food and wine event especially reacquainting with several hosts. The charity Food for Thought provides a bag of food for the many students that don’t get a meal over the weekend.
