Corrida It is an upscale and expensive Spanish inspired steakhouse with a great view of the flatirons of Boulder. The roof patio opens to the dining area making it a great summer place to enjoy. The menu focuses on expensive steaks. For example, a Wagyu steak from Japan of only 2 oz. cooked at table side costs $95! We focused on the seafood options and shared 8 dishes family style.
The first plates were the bread, sardines, and peppers. The warm bread with butter covered lightly with paprika for dipping was delicious. The sardines covered with cumin lacked the salty taste of fish. The Shishito peppers were lightly grilled and were excellent!
The next plates were the Spanish octopus and black cod. The octopus had good flavor but lacked a great presentation on the plate. The black cod was the hit of the night. The fish was presented beautifully and the cod just melted in your mouth!
For the main dish we had the King Salmon with butter beans and green tomatoes and it was just okay. Considering the price of $58, it is was disappointing. The two side dishes of Hongos mushrooms and tomato salad with summer truffles were good.
We each had a cocktail mixed and served table side by the cocktail cart. Not only pretty but great tasting.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Corrida is Good. I suggest you order several small dishes like the peppers and black cod with a cocktail and just enjoy the fantastic view of the flatirons!
