Mile High Dining enjoyed fried chicken and a beer on a snowy night at Post Chicken & Beer Lohi. It’s the newest Post Chicken restaurant. Most of the Post Chicken restaurants are located north of the city. The Lohi is located at the former Lola Mexican restaurant.
We enjoyed the friendly service and the food in spite of a snowstorm. First, the chicken thigh fries are a very good appetizer. They are presented with a beer mustard and chili sauces for dipping. They were delicious especially combined with the mustard and a beer.
The main dish was a fried one half chicken with pickles and gravy. It was a very large sized dish. The chicken was southern style, crunchy on the outside but soft and great flavor inside. The other dinner enjoyed the roasted chicken with a side of arugula salad.
We also had a side dish of coleslaw which had a good mild flavor. Everything was paired with a #knowfiltered hazy IPA.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Post Chicken & Beer Lohi is Very Good for a fried chicken and beer meal. It’s very affordable and there was even enough chicken to take home!
