Apple Blossom

We ventured out on a cold and icy night to another new restaurant, Apple Blossom. Operated by the brother and sister team of Coperta and recently closed Beast&Bottle, Apple Blossom is a bright and upscale place. Parking is an issue but there is valet parking available. The three of us shared five vegetable-centered plates including ravioli, squash salad, beet salad, shrimp cocktail, and Key lime pie.

The goat cheese ravioli with squash, watercress, and pumpkin seed pesto was very good. Not only did it have a pretty presentation but the mild goat cheese mixed well with the ravioli and pesto.

The baby golden beets salad had thinly sliced apples, pistachios, goat cheese, arugula, and citrus vinaigrette. Again, the salad was delicious as the beets mixed well with the citrus.

The other very good vegetable salad was the winter squash. The squash was first cooked then grilled.

The Keylime pie was both tart and sweet with a large topping of cream and both pecans and coconuts are used in the crust.

The only disappointing dish was the shrimp cocktail as the five shrimp are just sitting on the plate next to the small bowl of cocktail sauce.

The service was very attentive and even allowed two guests to finish with a half pour of wine.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Apple Blossom restaurant is Very Good. Just forget the shrimp cocktail and focus on the vegetables.
