Parisi

Mile High Dining went North to the Parisi restaurant which is owned and operated by a husband and wife team both from Italy. They started across the street as a market selling packaged Italian goods. Now evolved as a full-service restaurant, Parisi still sells packaged Italian goods. Order at the counter and directed to your table. A small basket of fresh bread was sitting at the table when we sat down. Currently, the more formal dining room area is closed for Covid.

We ordered a Caesar salad, gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese, crab ravioli, and classic Chianti Italian wine.

The Caesar salad is a bowl of fresh lettuce with sliced Parmesan cheese and breadsticks. A good way to start an evening meal.

The gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese and nuts was just a little too heavy handed, the cheese dominated the light gnocchi. It was disappointing.

The best dish of the evening was the crab ravioli. It had a great presentation covered with slices of vegetables and a very good flavor as the crab centers were pleasantly warm when served. It was delicious.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Parisi restaurant is Good. The restaurant does not take reservations so plan to arrive early as the line to enter was outside the door at 7:00 pm.
