Fire is located downtown on the fourth floor with a beautiful outdoor patio, lots of indoor seating, and a stylish bar. Almost eatery seat had a great view. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio as it was just too nice weather-wise to be inside.
From the American style menu, we selected three dishes, blistered peppers, salmon, and mushroom risotto. We were warned the peppers were spicy but ours were not. The blistered shishito peppers are served with peanuts and Ginger sitting on top and were delicious. A very good starter dish.
Next the salmon, Mediterranean style, was sitting on quinoa with artichoke hearts. The fish was served was still hot from the grill. It was a very large slice with a great salmon flavor. The quinoa with added sliced artichoke hearts went well with the salmon.
The last dish was the risotto with foraged mushrooms. The restaurant found a supplier who forages the mushrooms rather than asking the staff to check outside. The risotto was the disappointing dish of the evening. The risotto was not soft and needed more cooking to get it tender.
We did find a new good-tasting Cabernet wine, Donati.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Fire restaurant is Good. Just select the salmon and peppers and you will enjoy the meal.
