Mile High Dining went to the Bull & Bush Brewery to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Two brothers founded it 1971 and they modeled it after a famous British pub. Now, the sons of the original owners operate this beer lovers paradise. It has at least 30 different draft beers and about 25 different bottled beers from their brewery. There are even 15 guest breweries represented. A red meat menu dominates with pub meals, burgers, and steaks. Also, it is one of the few restaurants in Denver where Mile High Dining is not one of the oldest customers as there were plenty of senior citizens enjoying a beer.
For a beer, we selected the Bull and Bush’s Gammy Num Nums stout with cherries at 10.20 ABV. It’s a very strong but flavorful beer.
The legendary fish and chips and the grilled chicken burger with sweet potato fries were selected as our food choices.
Both selections are large in size and filled the plates. First, the fish is lightly breaded cod and then fried. The three large pieces of fish provide a light taste. One of the pieces was undercooked but no big issue. The fish was sitting on a mound of french fries with a side of coleslaw. The grilled chicken had lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. The chicken sandwich had a very flavorful taste. The sweet potato fries with ketchup went very well with the fancy stout beer.
My ratings are: It’s Ok, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Bull & Bush Brewery is Good.
