Mile High Dining went to see the lights on the City/County Building only to find out that you can not drive in front of the building to watch the light show. Very disappointing! So we decided on Chinese from Little Ollies in Cherry Creek! Sadly, the food was disappointing.
We ordered by telephone and had to go inside to pick up the food and pay. Very old fashioned. As for food, we ordered the lemon chicken, Chinese dumplings, crab rangoons, steamed shrimp dumplings, and white rice.
First, the crispy lemon chicken with vegetables was a very large-sized plate. Certainty enough for two. The chicken has a great lemon flavor and was tender. The veggies added a great color to the dish and were good tasting.
The Chinese dumplings were tough and chewy. They looked good but were even hard to cut. Not a good dish at all!
The crab rangoons were missing flavor. They were packaged in an open paper bag, so they were cold by the time we got home.
Lastly, we ordered steamed shrimp dumplings but they were not included in the order. Gladly, we were not charged but that is an issue when everything is packed in double bags for takeaway meals.
At least Mile High Dining had a glass of Baijiu to forget a disappointing meal.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Little Ollies is It’s OK.
