Cherry Creek Grill is a well-established American fare restaurant. Mile High Dining enjoyed takeaway meal with curbside pick up and it was a breeze. Only disappointment, there was no opportunity to provide a gratuity when ordering. If you prefer, there is an outdoor heated patio, just make sure to pick a sunny day!
We ordered four dishes- salad, cornbread, coleslaw, and the chicken and rib platter. When we arrived home with the food everything was still warm. First, the salad. It’s called Macho salad as it’s a very large size salad with lots of ingredients. The salad has lots of different types of lettuces, roasted chicken, avocado, tomatoes, chopped dates, almonds, corn, dates, goat cheese, and a vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious and had a very good presentation. The dressing and avocado and dates add a great flavor to the salad.
The Iron Skillet cornbread was still warm and tasty. It’s a round loaf of bread that’s soft in texture and great in taste. It didn’t even need butter or honey added to enjoy.
The coleslaw was good looking but lacked much taste. It needed some extra color from carrots or other vegetables and extra vinegar for taste.
The main dish of the roasted chicken and barbecued ribs platter was very good. Lots of ribs that are pre-sliced and several large pieces of chicken. The ribs, Carolina style, had meat that looked great falling off the bone but had too plain of taste. The chicken was deliciously soft. Very good chicken.
As for dessert, Cherry Creek Grill added complimentary fudge/brownies. That was a little surprise and a nice touch. Mile High Dining made a pumpkin pie but everyone passed on the additional dessert.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Cherry Creek Grill is Very Good for American style food. The two best dishes were the cornbread and the Macho salad.
