Mile High Dining found Chinese Baijiu liquor in Denver after several years of searches. Baijiu is a liquor made from sorghum. Therefore, it was mandatory to have Chinese food. Hop Alley is located in a former soy sauce manufacturing building, so it’s appropriate it’s a Chinese restaurant today. They have dining available on their outside patios but Mile High Dining desired another takeaway meal. We ordered online and it was a breeze.
We ordered grilled broccoli, grilled turnips, Bone Morrow fried rice, Fried Wontons, and Chicken Lo Mein. Since they were out of the lime sorbet, Mile High Dining grilled peaches and added ice cream for dessert.
First, the vegetables. Gai Lan is the Grilled Chinese Broccoli. A large plate of the delicious broccoli with oyster sauce flavor. Next, the Grilled Baby Turnips were a little spicy as they added chili vinegar and herbs. But it’s no match for the Baijiu! These vegetables paired well with the mild Bone Marrow Fried Rice. They also added a complimentary container of white rice.
The Chicken Lo Mein made a great plate presentation by the added and colorful vegetables. Several hot peppers gave the Lo Mein some kick. The Fried Wontons had a small container of a vinegar sauce for dipping. Not bad.
Lastly, the grilled peaches were covered with ice cream and served outside on the balcony. Perfect for a summer dessert.
My ratings are : It’s OK, Good, Very Goid, and Excellent .
My verdict ⚖️ for Hop Alley is Very Good.
