Logan Street Restaurant and Bar is located in the former Govnr’s Park Tavern building. Mile High Dining recently had a takeaway meal. They focus on Mediterranean style foods with lots of wood-fired preparations. The head chef, Rebecca Weitzman, not only competed in the Iron Chef competition, she won the Food Networks Chopped award. She also oversees the food at the sister breakfast-focused restaurant, Ivy on 7th.
Our meal order was grilled asparagus, Flat Bread with the house-made sausage, and an entree of pan-seared Salmon. Mile High Dining added it’s own salad with roasted carrots and beets as Logan Street was temporarily out of salads.
First, the Grilled Asparagus had a truffle-parmesan fondue sauce on top. One voted the asparagus as the best dish of the evening. Next, the Flat Bread with the house -made Italian sausage and mushrooms was very tasty and there was enough for seconds.
The pan-roasted Salmon included a bed of roasted tomatoes, gigante beans, capers, olive tapenade, and escarole. It was very good and the best dish of the meal. The fish was seared only lightly to our request.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Logan Street Restaurant and Bar is Very Good.
