Le French Denver was founded by Senegalese sisters, who were raised in France. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had a take away dinner meal consisting of a cheese plate (fromage), mussels (moules), vegetarian crepe, and a lemon crepe.
When we ordered by telephone, we were told that the order may get lost, it’s best to order online. So we did and asked for curbside pick up.
The Cheese Plate is large with several types of cheeses, bread, and Colorado honey. A great presentation even if it’s in a box to go.
The Vegetarian Provencale Crepe has spinach, roasted eggplant, zucchini, and cheese inside the buckwheat crepe. A small side salad is included. The crepe was still warm when we arrived home and was described as very good.
Next, the Lemon Crepe is made with lemon juice, sugar, and whipped cream. It was definitely sweet and enjoyed.
Lastly, the Mussels are cooked in a wine and garlic broth and tasted great. A very large side of French fries was included with a baguette covered in a bright orange paprika aioli to help recover the broth. With the fries, it’s more than a meal.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Le French Denver is Very Good.
