Olivia

Olivia is relatively a new Italian restaurant in the Washington Park neighborhood. The take away meal was ordered over the phone and a friendly and helpful voice answered. Its a small place, so dining-in will be postponed.

We had the Focaccio bread with whipped butter. It was delicious! The butter was warm and soft. One would be happy with the bread, butter, and a glass of wine.

The Charred Artichoke had grilled garlic butter, parmesan cheese, and a bright orange chili aioli for dipping. The artichoke was good. Remember, you will need extra napkins to eat grilled artichokes.

Pasta Primavera includes house made Radiatore pasta (rotini), basil pesto, spring vegetables including broccoli and pine nuts. Great flavor and it is very good especially with all the vegetables. An extra large serving provides enough for another day.

Spaghetti Pomodora is house-made spaghetti with a roasted garlic and tomato sauce. Again, an extra large serving provides enough for the next day. The tomato sauce reminds one that summer is near.

Lastly, for dessert it was an oversized chocolate chip cookie. It was enjoyed with ice cream!

Olivia included an hand written note thanking us for supporting the restaurant. A great touch and the first time Mile High Dining received a thank you note with a takeaway meal.

Overall, my ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Olivia is Very Good.
