Mile High Dining enjoyed a takeaway meal from the Maine Shack and used GrubHub to deliver. That’s a first! The delivery was on time and with little contact as the food was delivered to the front door lobby. Lobster for Mother’s Day weekend is well suited for the celebration.
We ordered the brown butter lobster roll, lobster mac & cheese, beet salad, and an iced tea. Currently, the Maine Shack is not handling any alcoholic beverages.
The Lobster is poached in hot brown butter and served on a New England style bun with a side of potato chips. Delicious. To keep the bun fresh, the lobster is in a separate plastic bag for delivery.
Lobster Mac & Cheese has mascarpone and cheddar cheese with lots of lobster meat and topped with Ritz crackers. Several large claw pieces of lobster we’re folded into the macaroni. It made the dish a great bargain and very favorable!
The Old Orchard Beet Salad has mixed greens, roasted beets, goat gouda cheese, toasted pumpkin seeds, and topped with a cider vinaigrette dressing. The surprise of the meal as it’s slightly bitter taste was excellent.
It was a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend and we didn’t even had to drive.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Maine Shack is Very Good.
