Into the third week of the mandatory stay at home order, Mile High Dining was able to find grilled artichokes in Denver. After several tries, the Hillstone restaurant wasn’t sold out and on Easter Sunday we had a take away meal including grilled artichokes. Remember, artichokes are flower buds. One is able to find artichoke plants in Washington Park in the flower garden just north of the Croquet Court. Check it out this summer to admire an artichoke flower.
We enjoyed a take away dinner of grilled artichokes, iceberg wedge salad with bacon, and a crispy chicken sandwich with a side of spicy coleslaw. Also, we added two bottles of Nitro beer by Left Hand Brewing.
Check out my review to find the best grilled artichokes in Cherry Creek last year published on May 13, 2019. After going to three different restaurants in the same evening, the artichokes from Hillstone were rated excellent. One year later, they are still tops!
When we arrived at the restaurant and the meal was delivered promptly in a large paper sack to us in the parking lot.
The three large halved artichokes have a delicious sauce. The iceberg wedge salad had extra bacon pieces and it was a delightful dish. The crispy chicken sandwich with a side of spicy coleslaw was a large three-piece sandwich ensemble that was enjoyed by all. Artichokes are the highlight of the meal as a signify spring and the coming summer in spite of the cold snow.
My readings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
My verdict ⚖️ for the Hillstone restaurant artichokes is excellent.
