No basketball, no baseball, and no golf. This week, I would normally be driving from Atlanta to Augusta, Georgia to watch the Masters golf tournament. Since there is no golf, I have no excuses why I can’t go out and enjoy a take away dinner. As the virus shuts down Denver, Mile High Dining enjoyed dinner from the Barcelona Wine restaurant. Driving across town without traffic was a breeze. On arrival, the food is packaged and delivered curbside.
We called ahead for an order of brussels sprouts, chicken fingers, beef empanadas, potato tortilla, and a bottle of wine. The crispy brussels sprouts have been grilled with pickled red onions and lime on top, not only a very healthy snack but great tasting. The chicken fingers with french fries were still warm when opened at home. This was the largest box and a very inexpensive item, only $7.50. The beef empanadas were sided with red pepper sauce. Very tasty. Lastly, the potato tortilla was an item I have never tried. It’s a fancy potato omelette where the potatoes are sliced very thin and stacked. It was matched with olive oil sour cream and was the surprise of the dinner. It was excellent.
Lastly, the Rioja Bodegas Olarro bottle of wine was half priced and a great way to help support the restaurant. It was delicious.
My ratings are Its OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
My verdict ⚖️ for Barcelona Wine is Very Good.
