Briar Common is open in the day’s and weeks of Coronavirus. On Sunday, we called in a food and beer order for pick up. A friendly voice answered and took our order of Fish and Chips, Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a side of fruit, and two growlers(quarts) of Beer. The beer is two for one. Yes, and a free Roll of Toilet Paper🧻!
We decided to go out and support a local restaurant before the city is shut down. Picking up food was easy and safe. Enter the main door and your package of food is on the counter and employees are far away. Everything is in a large paper sack to go.
After a short drive home as the traffic is almost nothing, the grilled cheese sandwich was still warm and enjoyable. The fish and chips are entree size, so we enjoyed one half for lunch. They, too, were still warm. It’s a white fish with a small side of coleslaw and a mayo-based sauce. There are lots of chips.
Next the beer, I enjoyed the Joyce and Brett light lager style but it comes in a 32 ounce can( growler). Enough to last the day. It’s good and light after drinking Guinness Stout for St Patrick’s day last weekend. Your name is written on the can. That’s a first!
The free roll of toilet paper (🧻) with “Thank You” written on the side was the highlight of this virus day.
