Frank & Roze Coffee

It’s my first review of a coffee shop. Frank & Roze is a new and stylish shop open all day long. It serves coffee and pastries in the morning and converts to a wine bar with sandwiches and charcuterie boards in the evening. Remember, Starbucks failed at this business plan several years ago.

The name Frank and Roze is for the two owners. They have created a very stylish and bright place with large windows.

I visited one morning for coffee. The latte was good and strong as it was hot and had a very good flavor. There are very expensive coffee beans for sale but at $17 for a small package, I passed.

The morning food selection includes muffins, croissants, and other pastries. We will have to try a second visit in the evenings for a charcuterie board and a glass of wine. This morning, I had a fresh berry tart. It was very plain tasting and disappointing. It looked good. The food is under the supervision of Tom Coohill, who operates the Coohills Restaurant in Lower Downtown Denver. The food, or least my tart, needs to improve.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Frank & Roze is It’s OK.
