The best wine bar in Colorado is located in the Broadmoor complex at the Summit Restaurant! The wine rack rotates behind the bar in a temperature controlled glass enclosure. One will enjoy watching the many wine bottles rotate while you enjoy your glass of wine. The Summit Restaurant is located in the remodeled ice skating arena but remember to sit at the bar.
Of course, we started with a glass of wine from Obsidian Ridge, a Cabernet Sauvignon, that was dark red and strong. The other diner had a Coke.
The bar menu is limited but has some very good options. A large bowl of mussels with bread is very good. The broth that the mussels are sitting in reminds me of the French Rivera, very tasty and the extra bread rolls were delivered to help with all the broth. The second dish was the Fried Rice with butter. Extra butter on the rice helped not only the taste but the texture.
The Summit Restaurant is a short walk from the Main Building and it gives you a chance to enjoy the beautiful setting and the winter lights. 
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
