12@Madison

12@Madison is located at 1160 Madison St., Denver, CO. (pictured).

We sat in the small patio on a warm and sunny evening. The restaurant is small but has a great chef’s counter inside. The menu has an extensive list of small plates. The owner/chef, Jeff Osaka, operates several Ramen style restaurants but 12@Madison serves dishes based upon different parts of the world.

In our outing, we had 7 different small plates. First, we had the baby lettuce which is large enough two. Next, the pickled apples with cheese and cashews which was my favorite dish as the apples were very tart and an unique dish. (pictured).

The smoked ricotta gnocchi (pictured)

and the Diver scallops (pictured).

And the Risotto with tomatoes filled out dinner. The Parker House rolls with butter mixed with red salt were delicious. The final act was the beautiful lemon tart with cream.(pictured).

Service was first rate, but like dinning in Denver, it’s expensive but fair.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent. The verdict for 12@Madison is Very Good.
